As a rule we would rather people remained seated at shows to allow all customers a clear view of the stage, at some shows the artiste may encourage the audience to stand up and dance. However, in these circumstances, dancing will still not be permitted in the Circle or Balcony due to safety concerns. If you would like to dance we recommend that you please book seats in the Stalls. We ask people who wish to dance to be considerate and not block the view of those who wish to remain seated. Our Front of House team may ask you to remain seated or move to another area if other audience members views are being obstructed.
We ask that you please consider others in your actions so everyone can enjoy their evening. If you are seen to be upsetting those around you a member of staff may ask you to sit down and we’d ask that you kindly respect this request.
Dancing in the aisles is not permitted due to licensing regulations that demands the aisles are kept clear at all times.

The following devices are available at our venue:
Stethoset receivers earphones are built in - for people who need a clearer audio feed, predominantly spoken word type events where background noise and reverberation in the hall reduces the intelligibility of what customers hear.
Bodypack receivers - with 3.5 mm audio port - as above, but for people who want to use their own earphones/headphones OR for hearing aid users via an induction neck loop.
Induction neck loops - for use with the bodypack receivers, they plug into the audio port and then create a small induction loop for the user to then connect their hearing aid to.

You will need to present the credit or debit card used to purchase the tickets and sign a receipt on collection. This is to protect both you and ourselves from potential credit card fraud. Your tickets will be available for collection from the City Hall Box Office in the main foyer.
Can I camp over night for tickets?
The City Hall does not advise customers queuing or camping over night before a show concert.
Following previous incidents that have occurred whilst customers queued overnight, we owe a duty of care to anyone who decides to queue on our land and it was clear after investigations that we were not in a position to fulfill this obligation.
We are unable to provide security and staff to monitor the queue in order to ensure safety. Further the area isn't suitable for people camping due to the location and the close proximity to clubs, pubs and bars. We also have no services available such as toilet and wash facilities for the customers.
We are fully aware that for some fans queuing to buy tickets is part of the fan experience. We are not trying to prevent this, but simply place manageable parameters to enable customers to be able to purchase tickets safely.
Can I pay with cash at bars and kiosks?
We do accept cash at our venue, however, we urge customers to use contactless and card payments wherever possible.
How can I pay?

What is a booking fee?
This is a charge made to cover the costs of our ticketing service, for example the costs of the ticketing software, call centre and our colleagues. You can see our ticketing fees explained section here.
What is a facility fee?
This is a small charge that contributes to the upkeep, safety and security of the building to ensure that you enjoy your visit.
What is a fulfilment fee?
This is the cost of getting the tickets to you, so includes things like postage costs or organising collection facilities. This will be shown when you select your delivery method during the payment process, you can choose to print at home, have the tickets posted to you or collect from our box office. These options may have associated fees which are shown in the payment process.
